The Milkshake

It's a Randall tradition (no... a Tom Randall tradition) to give each grandchild a milkshake after (or around) their first birthday. With a move to Arizona this last fall, milkshakes close to a birthday was not a possibility... so when Papa and Nana came up to visit in July, Kezia was treated with her first milkshake.

Pretty good stuff, Papa! Mmm....

Papa showing Kezia how it's done (I think he does this for himself just as much as for the little one).

What a treat! Thanks, Papa!

We Love Auntie Amber!

"Auntie" Amber came to visit... and brought her wealth of soccer knowledge, abilities, etc. WOW! What fun Katiree, Tate and Zane had with her! She taught them to dribble the ball, kick with their laces, head the ball and played all sorts of soccer games with them. We also took a trip to the zoo and had lots of "Amber time". Can't you just move closer, Amber? =)

Summer Fun (June)

Here are some classic summer moments...

What good is summer without strawberries?! Kezia LOVES strawberries!

And sprinklers (Kezia has no fear of water.) Katiree sure enjoyed taking her to play in the sprinkler.

And super soakers... watch out! Travis thought he'd be funny and spray Zane from our kitchen sink out the screen. Zane sprayed Daddy right back. Wet kitchen... nice mess for Travis to clean up! =) Oh, but look at his innocent face!

Above are Katiree and Tate's reactions when Daddy put ice in their swimsuits! Hee hee...

And lastly, what good  is summer without ice cream cones? The kids think this is the best treat!

Happy Father's Day, Travis!

Father's Day weekend greeted us with sunshine... it was a beautiful weekend! Travis wanted to take the kids miniature golfing (we've never done that before) and it was a hit! We did not keep score, but let each of the kids hit their golf ball before us. They'd wait at the end for us to go. Here were the classic moments:  Tate wanted to look in and under everything to see where the ball went, how it went through different contraptions, etc. Katiree picked up the game quickly and cheered everyone on. Zane figured out that you wanted to get the ball in the hole, so when Travis or I had our turns, we'd hit it once and he'd say, "Don't worry Dad/Mom. I got it in for you." (He'd have hit it after us trying to "help".)

We also enjoyed some good whiffle ball in our backyard... the old fashion kind, you know... with ghost runners and everything (ghost runners hold your spot on the base so you can hit again when there are not enough players).
